The 1.1GW Inch Cape offshore wind farm, our 50/50 JV project with ESB located off the Angus Coast in the East of Scotland, secured an AR6 award for just under 270MW. This topped up the project’s previous CfD award from AR4 of which 25 per cent was relinquished. Similarly, our 67.1MW Benbrack onshore wind farm in Dumfries and Galloway secured an award for 36MW, which combined with its AR5 award, gaurantees Benbrack’s long term revenue stream for 100 per cent of its annual generation for 15 years.
Red Rock CEO, Xiaomeng Chen, said: “We are thrilled with the outcome of Allocation Round 6. Today’s results marks a key milestone for both Inch Cape and Benbrack wind farms as they continue to progress forward at pace. It also represents a significant achievement for Red Rock Renewables, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to the offshore and onshore wind sectors and contributing to the UK’s net zero transition. We look forward to advancing these landmark developments and playing our part in generating a sustainable net-zero future.”
