- Red Rock Power announces new name and brand marking step change for the business
Red Rock Power Limited is excited to announce a new name and brand for the business – Red Rock Renewables and “The Pebble”. Today’s news follows the recent announcement that we are to move our Edinburgh headquarters into a new, high quality, energy efficient and sustainable office building early next year and as we continue to restore and enhance our operation after several years of tumultuous market conditions.
Red Rock Renewables and ‘The Pebble’ branding represents our identity as a Scottish business and the characteristics we hope to continue building – a pebble is a refined, polished rock; small but strong, resilient and agile. It symbolises our commitment to the sector, the ongoing evolution of our operation and the energy transition.
Xiaomeng Chen, Red Rock’s new CEO appointed at the end of 2023, said: “It is an exciting time for Red Rock Renewables and today’s rebrand announcement marks a significant step change for our business. The last few years have been tough for the business. We’ve had to reflect on and readjust our goals, focussing on prioritising our existing development projects and assets. With the backing and continued investment of our parent company, we are now preparing to reinvigorate our expansion plans next year.”
He added: “In the last year, we have reconfigured and added to our workforce, making several key appointments across our senior management and strengthening our 70-strong Edinburgh team. We are also continuing to improve effectiveness and efficiencies across the business and our projects, working closely with our partners and supply chain to minimise risk and maximise opportunities.
“2025 is set to be a crucial year for Red Rock Renewables. Our Benbrack onshore wind farm will become fully operational; Inch Cape offshore wind farm will start offshore construction; we move into our new headquarters; and will relaunch our investment programme. We hope our industry peers and stakeholders join us on this journey!”
